ENTRY Science

In Year 7, our science program introduces students to the fundamental concepts of scientific inquiry and exploration. Through exciting experiments, interactive activities, and multimedia resources, students will delve into topics such as:

  • The Scientific Method: Learn how to think like a scientist by developing hypotheses, conducting experiments, and analyzing results.

  • Physics: Learn all about the science of simple machines and energy transformation! 

  • Chemical Reactions: Witness the magic of chemical transformations and reactions through hands-on experiments.

     

PACE 21 Science

Our mixed year level science program in Years 8 to 10 provides students with a comprehensive and dynamic science education. With a focus on interdisciplinary connections and real-world applications, students will study a range of scientific disciplines, including:

  • Physical sciences: Investigate the fundamental principles that govern the behavior of the physical world, from motion and energy to light and electricity. Dive deeper into the world of chemicals and reactions, exploring the periodic table, chemical bonding, and the properties of matter.

  • Human Science: Explore the complexities of life through the study of genetics, ecology, evolution, and human biology.

  • Working with wildlife: Gain an understanding of our native flora and fauna, work with our reptiles, design habitats and learn all about conservation and ecology.

  • Scientific Investigations: Develop critical investigative skills as you design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and draw evidence-based conclusions.

For students who are passionate about science and wish to pursue their studies further, our VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) Science program offers a challenging and rewarding curriculum. We offer a range of VCE science subjects, including:

  • Chemistry: Explore advanced chemical concepts, equipping students with a deep understanding of molecular structures and reactions.
